Although there’s no word on the exhibition of the winners from the Office of Emergency Management’s post-disaster housing design competition, the Museum of Modern Art has got its own display of pre-fabricated housing on display in their Home Delivery exhibit. One of the homes, the System3, was erected at the exhibition site in six and a half hours. Another building, designed specifically for New Orleans, is estimated to cost just $40,000 apiece if produced in large quantities. Each of the five buildings, on view in the museum’s adjacent vacant lot, has its own journal on the exhibit’s Web site.
